This is the case of Sabina Cartossi and Gianluca Agustoni,\u202fowners of some of the most talented horses ridden by the 2012 Olympic champion in London,\u202fSteve Guerdat from Jura.\u202fTheir story is an intertwining of passion,\u202ftrust,\u202fand success,which has brought Ticino to the center of the international equestrian scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Sincere Friendship Born Ten Years Ago<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The love for horses has always been part of Sabina Cartossi’s life,\u202fsince she was young,\u202feven though her family was not connected to the equestrian world.\u202f”I became passionate about this wonderful sport thanks to a friend,” Sabina recalls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gianluca Agustoni,\u202falready a high-level rider,\u202fhad the opportunity to meet the Guerdat family when he was still a boy,training with Philippe Guerdat,\u202fSteve’s father.\u202f”At the time,\u202fit was Philippe who trained the young Swiss riders,\u202fand that’s where I met the Guerdat family,” Gianluca points out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their journey led them to cross paths with Steve again,\u202fthis time as owners of his horses.\u202fTheir collaboration began in 2012,\u202fafter Steve’s victory at the London Olympics.\u202fSabina and Gianluca,\u202fwho already admired Steve as a rider,\u202fdecided to invest in their passion by purchasing talented horses to entrust to his care.\u202f”I was already a fan of his at the London Olympics.” Since then,\u202ftheir bond has strengthened,\u202fbased on deep mutual trust and unconditional respect for Steve’s abilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust as the Foundation of Success<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust is a key element in the relationship between Sabina,\u202fGianluca,\u202fand Steve.\u202fThe owners never interfere with the rider’s choices regarding the training and management of the horses,\u202fleaving him complete freedom of decision.\u202f”It’s also important that we never intervene in the program of his horses.\u202fStrategic decisions are up to him,” says Sabina.\u202fThis mutual trust has allowed Steve to build a special relationship with each horse,\u202funderstanding its needs and enhancing its potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Bond That Goes Beyond Sport<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relationship between Sabina,\u202fGianluca,\u202fand Steve goes beyond the simple relationship between owners and rider.\u202fIt is a sincere friendship,\u202fbased on a shared passion for horses and mutual respect.\u202f”Steve has a special relationship with horses,\u202fhe treats them with love and great sensitivity,” Sabina emphasizes.\u202f”And we have total trust in him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our friendship has bound us for years,\u202fand the Swiss team always welcomes us with esteem and warmth.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We have identified in Steve the person with whom to share certain sporting principles.\u202fOurs is a very deep relationship in continuous evolution,\u202fboth personally and athletically,” adds Gianluca.\u202f”I fully embrace the principles on which Steve bases his life as a person and an athlete:\u202fthat’s why our union is very strong.” The Guerdat family,\u202fcompleted by his wife Fanny and little Ella,\u202fhas become an integral part of their daily lives,\u202fsharing moments of joy (like Steve and Fanny’s wedding in 2018) and sporting successes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticino at the Center of the Equestrian Scene<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presence of two Ticino horses in Paris 2024 – Dynamix de B\u00e9lh\u00e8me (entrusted to Steve Guerdat) and Leone Jei (owned by Adolfo Juri from Ambr\u00ec and ridden by Martin Fuchs) – is a source of great pride for the region.\u202fSabina,Gianluca,\u202fand Adolfo,\u202fwith their passion and commitment,\u202fhave contributed to bringing Ticino to the center of the international equestrian scene,\u202fdemonstrating the excellence of horse breeding and training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extraordinary Horses,\u202fUnforgettable Victories<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CHC Horses stable of Sabina Cartossi and Gianluca Agustoni,\u202fbased in Sementina,\u202fboasts some of the most talented horses in the equestrian scene,\u202fsuch as Corbinian (17 years old),\u202fVenard de Cerisy (15),\u202fand Dynamix de B\u00e9lh\u00e8me (11).Each of them has a unique story and has contributed to writing important pages in Steve Guerdat’s career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbinian:<\/strong>\u202fa horse that surprised everyone by winning the World Cup final in 2016,\u202fdespite never having won a Grand Prix before.\u202fGianluca recalls the excitement of that victory:\u202f”The crowd was incredible,\u202fthe atmosphere electrifying…There were true champions among the top five.\u202fIt was necessary to be flawless until the end!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Venard de Cerisy:\u202f<\/strong>a horse with a particular character but extraordinary talent,\u202fwho has triumphed in prestigious Grand Prix.\u202fSabina recounts:\u202f”He was very thin,\u202fcomplicated,\u202fand nervous,\u202fSteve had trouble riding him.” But with patience and dedication,\u202fGuerdat was able to win his trust,\u202fleading him to achieve exceptional results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dynamix de B\u00e9lh\u00e8me:<\/strong>\u202fthe “princess” who became queen with the 2023 European title,\u202fa horse with impeccable technique and great determination.\u202f”She won us over at first sight with her innate class,” smiles Sabina proudly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
